Female Enrolling Statistics
As of fall 2015, women represent 23 percent of the undergraduate students and 21 percent of the 2,131 graduate students enrolled in the A. James Clark School of Engineering.
Retaining and graduating undergraduates is a core value of the Clark School. Programs like Keystone: The Clark School Academy of Distinguished Professors, Flexus: The Dr. Marilyn Berman Pollans Women in Engineering Living & Learning Community, and the Successful Engineering Education Development Support (SEEDS) Program contribute to the success of our students. The most recent retention to engineering and graduation from engineering rates for women are:
- First-year retention - 95%
- Four-year graduation - 59%
- Five-year graduation - 78%
